  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer, then add the uncooked macaroni.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a more robust flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper. This goulash can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
