  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Add ground beef, cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked noodles and beef sauce mixture.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
