Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Potatoes (sliced)
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • Onion (diced)
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef with diced onions until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. In a casserole dish, layer sliced potatoes, cooked beef, soup mixture, and shredded cheese.
  5. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
