  • 4 black tea bags

  • 4 cups boiling water

  • 1½ cups frozen cherries (or fresh, pitted)

  • 12 tbsp lemon juice

  • ¼ cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 2 cups cold water

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: mint leaves, cherry pie filling for garnish

Instructions

  1. Steep tea bags in 4 cups boiling water for 5–7 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.

  2. In a saucepan, combine cherries and sugar. Simmer over medium heat for 5–8 minutes until soft and syrupy.

  3. Strain cherries to separate juice. Let juice cool.

  4. In a pitcher, mix brewed tea, cherry juice, lemon juice, and 2 cups cold water. Stir well.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  6. Serve over ice with optional mint or cherry garnish.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to your taste.

  • For a stronger cherry flavor, use cherry pie filling or add cherry syrup.
