  • 1 lb salmon, skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for baking) or oil for frying

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a pan for frying.
  • In a bowl, mix panko, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Coat salmon pieces in flour, dip in beaten eggs (mixed with hot sauce if using), then coat with seasoned panko mixture.
  • For baking: Place on a lined baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 12-15 minutes until crispy.
  • For frying: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
  • Serve with spicy mayo, ranch, or sweet chili sauce for extra flavor.
  • For an air-fryer option, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway.
