  • 1 cup orzo
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Fold in the cooked orzo, and stir until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
