  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, chicken broth, and cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water).

  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Add chicken slices, season lightly with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  4. Remove chicken and set aside.

  5. In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  6. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, adding a splash of water to help steam if necessary.

  7. Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.

  8. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.

  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken breast with chicken thighs for a juicier option.

  • Use pre-cut broccoli to save time.

  • Adjust sauce sweetness to your preference.
