3 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)
1/4 cup chicken broth or water
Salt and pepper to taste
Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, chicken broth, and cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water).
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken slices, season lightly with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, adding a splash of water to help steam if necessary.
Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Substitute chicken breast with chicken thighs for a juicier option.
Use pre-cut broccoli to save time.
Adjust sauce sweetness to your preference.
