Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad combines buttery pretzels, sweet cream cheese, and fresh strawberries into a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dessert. 2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip)
1 (6 oz) package strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
2 cups boiling water
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tbsp sugar. Press into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Chill 30 minutes.
Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Let cool to room temp.
Stir in sliced strawberries. Pour over cream cheese layer.
Refrigerate until firm, about 2–4 hours or overnight.
Make sure each layer is completely cool or set before adding the next.
Use fresh strawberries for best flavor and texture.
Can be made a day ahead for convenience.
