  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional, for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  • Reduce heat and add cheddar cheese and pepper jack cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Season the cheese sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the cooked macaroni, ensuring it's fully coated in the sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with red chili flakes for an extra spicy kick.

  • For extra creaminess, add an additional 1/4 cup of heavy cream.
