This Taco Pasta recipe combines the bold flavors of taco seasoning with creamy, cheesy pasta for a comforting, easy-to-make meal. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners, this fusion dish is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, shells, or rotini)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup corn (optional)
  • 1 cup black beans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning, salsa, and water/broth to the beef. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, corn, and black beans (if using) to the skillet. Stir until everything is combined.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt into the pasta.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in the sour cream.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • Customize with your favorite taco toppings, like jalapeños, avocado, or tortilla strips.
