Make a classic toasted Italian sandwich with layers of flavorful meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, and Italian dressing. A hearty and satisfying recipe perfect for a quick lunch or dinner!

  • 1 Italian roll or sub sandwich bread
  • 4 slices salami
  • 4 slices pepperoni
  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Italian dressing or vinaigrette
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian roll lengthwise, keeping one side attached. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the bread.
  3. Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone, and mozzarella cheese inside the roll.
  4. Place the sandwich on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 6-8 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven, add shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and banana peppers.
  6. Drizzle with Italian dressing and sprinkle with oregano.
  7. Close the sandwich, slice, and serve immediately!
